Kano's street children: Authorities detain thousands 'posing security threat'

Thousands of children in the northern Nigerian city of Kano are struggling to survive on the streets.
The state’s religious police have launched a campaign to remove them, saying they’re a security threat.

But aid agencies say they are caught up in a cycle of neglect and a failed system, as Al Jazeera's Ali Hashem reports from Kano.
