Bank of Canada discusses latest interest rate decision – October 28, 2020

At a news conference in Ottawa, Bank of Canada governor Tiff Macklem and senior deputy governor Carolyn Wilkins discuss the central bank's latest interest rate decision and monetary policy report, as well the economic impact of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The bank has kept its target for the overnight rate at 0.25 per cent since March 27 in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
