Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz
Dr. Berg talks about the 4 Critical Tips for reversing a fatty liver.
1. Consume organic, no GMO - adding more toxic chemicals in the liver will worsen a fatty liver, the capacity for your liver to detoxify is dependent on glutathione, which allows your liver to turn poisons into harmless particles (this can detoxify glyphosate). This is in garlic, onion, radish, and cruciferous vegetables.
2. Lower insulin - this includes alcohol) Insulin makes fat which deposits in your liver.

3. Choline - this is in egg yolks, seafood, wheat germ, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, and other cruciferous foods.
4. Add more vegetables.

In this video, we’re going to talk about the nutrients that make muscles grow. We’re also going to talk about things that will slow down the breakdown of muscle. The myth is that you need more protein to build muscle. The whole conversion of breaking down the protein and building it back up requires vitamins and minerals. We don’t necessarily need more protein—we need more nutrients.
The top two nutrients that many people are missing are:
1. Potassium
2. Trace minerals
Other vitamins you need:
• Fat-soluble vitamins (vitamins A, D, E, and K)
• B vitamins
• Vitamin C
All of these are necessary for the conversion of muscle tissue. If you exercise, you will break down and build up tissue, and this is also necessary.
Common issues people have with building muscle:
• Insulin resistance
• Stress (high cortisol)
What you can do to help build muscle:
• Intermittent fasting (2-3 meals per day)
• No snacks
• Have fatty protein
• Consume a moderate amount of protein (3-6 oz.)
• HIIT (high-intensity interval training)
• Sleep

Today we’re going to talk about short-term memory loss. The symptom of memory loss has to do with the hippocampus.
A few things that can damage the hippocampus:
• Age
• Decreased oxygen
• Stress
• High glucose
• Vitamin B1 deficiency
• Vitamin D deficiency
• Zinc deficiency
The hippocampus is one of the only areas of the brain that can actually regenerate. But, you’re not going to be able to regenerate the hippocampus without feeding it ketones.
How to help fix short-term memory loss:
• Increase oxygen to the hippocampus (exercise or use hyperbaric oxygen therapy)
• Increase ketones
• Fasting
• Take vitamin D
• Consume foods high in zinc
• Take vitamin B1 (nutritional yeast)
• Decrease stress
How to increase ketones:
• Get on a low-carb diet (the healthy keto diet)
• Consume MCT oil
• Take exogenous ketones

Want to be on the keto diet but you’re a dairy-free eater? I’ve got you covered!
Timestamps
:
0:00 Tips for doing the keto diet when you’re dairy-free
0:38 Many people have problems with dairy
1:20 There are a number of alternatives to dairy
2:09 If you can’t eat nuts and are vegan, you’ll have to get creative
I’m going to tell you how to do the keto diet while remaining dairy-free, for those of you who are lactose intolerant or have an allergy to the proteins in dairy. You may also be sensitive to the quality of the dairy since dairy products can contain hormones or come from animals fed with genetically-modified grains.
I personally do well with raw-milk cheese that’s grass-fed and organic. You may want to try dairy products that are grass-fed and organic to see if you tolerate them. Be sure to avoid processed cheese like Velveeta, which is filled with unhealthy ingredients.
If you truly need to adhere to dairy-free eating, there are several healthy alternatives that are totally acceptable on keto. They are coconut products, nuts, and nut butter, olive products and avocados, animal fat, and ghee.
I included ghee, also called clarified butter, even though strictly speaking it’s dairy. But ghee has the milk solids removed, leaving only the fat, which you may be able to eat. If you can’t, don’t worry about it. As you see, there are numerous alternatives.
If you’re sensitive to nuts in addition to adhering to dairy-free eating, that complicates things. You have to remove nuts and nut butter as healthy fats. And if you’re not eating dairy, can’t eat nuts, and are vegan, that really limits your options for healthy fat. However, there are always substitutes. You just have to get creative to be sure you get the correct amount of healthy fat when you’re on keto.
Don’t worry if you avoid dairy. You can be successful on the keto diet by using viable substitutes.

If you’re doing keto and intermittent fasting and eating three meals daily, try consuming your calories as follows: 5% carbs, 5% vegetables, 20% protein, and 70% fat.
Try the following important tips for keto macros to stay healthy and feel great while in ketosis.
1. Don’t consume your protein first.
It’s easy to overeat protein, which will result in an insulin spike. Aim for 3 to 6 ounces of protein per meal. Be sure to consume enough protein to prevent your liver from breaking down your muscles to create glycogen for fuel.
2. Eat your vegetables first.
Aim for 7 to 10 cups of vegetables daily.
3. Adjust fat consumption based on how you feel.
Reduce your fat intake if you feel full and bloated after a meal. If you feel hungry soon after a meal, increase the amount.
4. Keep your net carb intake between 20 and 50 grams daily. To calculate net carbs, subtract the grams of fiber from the total carbs. Beware of hidden carbs, especially in restaurant foods.
5. Consume high-quality food.
Look for wild-caught or grass-fed protein. Use organic vegetables and high-quality fats like avocados and coconut oil.

0:00 Introduction: Burning belly fat
1:10 What is the goal with keto?
1:38 Keto macros
2:50 How to burn belly fat
15:55 Bonus tips
Today I’m going to cover the basics of how to burn belly fat fast on the keto diet.
5 important tips to help you lose belly fat:
1. Consume salad first
When it comes to leafy greens, you don’t have to count carbs. You should consume at least 7 cups of salad per day.
There are huge benefits of lowering your carbs, but there are also huge benefits of consuming nutrient-dense foods.
Consuming this amount of salad can help prevent things like keto cramps, keto fatigue, and keto flu. It can also help reduce insulin resistance and give you more energy.
2. Protein
Start by consuming an amount of protein that is about the size of your hand. If you’re bigger or younger, you could have more. If you’re older and have a slow metabolism, then have less.
If you have too much protein, it can slow down ketosis. But, if you don’t have enough, you could feel tired. The key is to not consume low-fat protein.
3. Fat
In the beginning, it’s important to increase the amount of fat at each meal. The initial goal of the keto diet is not to jump into weight loss. It’s to help you start intermittent fasting.
It’s very important to do intermittent fasting with Healthy keto. If you do keto without fasting, you won’t get into a deeper level of ketosis and fat-burning. The combination of Healthy keto and intermittent fasting is powerful for fast fat-burning.
4. Nutrients
When you’re doing keto and fasting, it’s important to include all of the nutrients you need to prevent nutritional deficiencies. You’ll need more B vitamins (nutritional yeast), electrolytes, and sea salt.
5. Don’t feel deprived
Your cognitive function, energy, and mood are going to improve. You’re also going to lose weight. But, if you miss certain pleasure foods, there are certain things you can have after your meal, like low-carb chocolate or keto desserts.
Bonus tips:
1. If something is working, don’t change anything. If it’s not working, it’s time to change something.
2. You don’t lose weight to get healthy. You have to get healthy to lose weight.

In this video, Dr. Berg talks about an autoimmune hypothyroid condition called Hashimoto’s. An autoimmune condition is where your immune system is generating cells that are attacking itself called antibodies. The most common antibodies that Hashimoto’s involved are called anti-TPO antibodies or anti-thyroid peroxidase, an enzyme that works with Hydrogen Peroxide to make thyroid hormones. If there are high levels of hydrogen peroxide in the body, it could cause oxidative stress or damage.
Remedies to Support Autoimmune Conditions:
• Selenium (trace minerals) – A very powerful antioxidant that is very helpful in making thyroid hormones and helps with the conversion of inactive to active forms.
• Zinc
• S-Acetyl-L-Glutathione - A very important antioxidant that will help clear out the excess amount of hydrogen peroxide.

Today, I want to give you a really good and inexpensive tip for hair growth or thicker hair.
While I do sell different hair growth products, today, I just want to give you a simple tip to help promote hair growth.
My #1 tip for hair growth and thicker hair is to consume gelatin. You could use either gelatin, unflavored and unsweetened Jell-O, or hydrolyzed collagen.
How gelatin can potentially help increase hair growth:
• It’s 99% protein
• It has amino acids and peptides
• It increases blood flow and blood volume
In a few interesting studies, they saw a 50% increase in hair growth, a substantial increase in the diameter of the hair, and an increase in the number of hairs.
Gelatin may help provide the raw material needed and boost blood flow to add some additional help when it comes to hair growth—even if there is an autoimmune component or genetic weakness.
You may want to try 10 to 14 grams (1 Tbsp) of gelatin powder per day with L-cysteine or NAC and saw palmetto.

If you're new to the Dr. Berg channel, this is the second of many helpful videos to watch. The first video was made specifically to help those of you looking for keto basics and how to start keto. In this video, Dr. Berg continues to build on the intermittent fasting and Healthy Keto basics shared in the first video. If you have friends or family members wondering how to start keto as well, don't forget to point them to this video too!
Learn more about Healthy Keto and intermittent fasting:
1. Go as long as you can in the morning without eating. Don't eat unless you are hungry.
You need to keep pushing it to the point where your body is fully adapted to fat-burning, and you're no longer in sugar-burning. Adapting to ketosis could take 3 to 5 days or longer.
While on the Healthy Keto diet, try doing 2 meals a day with a 4-hour eating window, which will give you a 20-hour fasting period. This can give you major results, except if you're dealing with issues like:
• Menopause
• A slow thyroid condition
• A history of dieting
• A slow metabolism
If you're struggling with one of the issues above, you may need to start only eating one meal a day on the ketogenic diet to see significant results. But, in some cases, you still may not see results or weight loss. In this case, you may have to have one meal every other day until the system heals.
2. What to eat during meals while doing the Healthy Keto diet and intermittent fasting:
Meal option 1:
• Eggs (2 to 4) - pasture-raised organic
• Avocado
• Cheese - high-quality, organic, grass-fed
• Bacon - nitrate-free, organic, less than 1 g of sugar
• Nut butter – almond butter, peanut butter (sugar-free)
Meal option 2:
• Meat (3 to 6 oz)
• Vegetables or salad (with olive oil and vinegar) (SIBO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQESlxQKIm8)
• Nuts/Seeds
Meal option 3:
• Fish/Seafood – salmon, sardines (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STZg0R7p_NM)
• Salad
• Fat bomb
Meal option 4:
• Chicken (with skin)
• Asparagus
• Olives
Important things to remember:
• It's okay to consume vitamins any time of the day
• It's okay to consume ACV (apple cider vinegar) and lemon
• It's okay to consume coffee and tea (only one in the morning—try a bulletproof coffee with MCT oil)
• If you have an urge to snack, it means you need more fat and greens
• If you have cravings for bread, then you need more B vitamins (electrolytes, B vitamins, and nutritional yeast)
• Consume sea salt
• Get exercise (the best time to exercise is when you're fasting)
• It can take 3 to 5 days or longer to fully keto-adapt (the way to know you are in ketosis is if you don't crave anymore)

Are you not hungry on keto, but you’re still feeling weak? Well, this video is for you.
One of the best indicators to know if you’re in ketosis is the hunger goes away. But at the same time, you should not have low energy or fatigue on keto. If you’re feeling weak while on keto, it’s likely related to nutrient deficiencies.
How to fix low energy or feeling weak on the ketogenic diet:
Muscle weakness - Deficiency of vitamin E or sodium
Consume: Seeds, nuts, leafy greens, or a vitamin E complex supplement for a vitamin E deficiency. For low sodium, consume at least 1 tsp. of sea salt per day.
Brain Fog - Insulin resistance
Consume: MCT oil, and vitamin D
Fatigue - A vitamin B1, vitamin B5, or potassium deficiency
Consume: Nutritional yeast, potassium, and magnesium (electrolytes, and vegetables).
What if you’re not in ketosis, but you have no appetite? This could be due to a:
• Magnesium deficiency
• B12 deficiency
• Iron deficiency
• Vitamin D deficiency
• Infection
A simple test will let you know if you’re in ketosis, and you can base your actions on that.
