I had my wife help me with the camera this time since there were quite a few steps. :0)
Red Dead, Red Good, Black Good, Black Ground (dead).
The blue tool I show in the video is called a "battery terminal cleaner", and you can find them at any auto parts store, although they may look a little different than mine.
You could also use a wire brush, but this is specifically meant for batteries.
I mention that a battery will last 6 to 12 years, and have had a few comments on that.
I have had batteries last 12 years, but there are lots of different factors for how long your battery will last. On average I would say it is probably closer to 6 years in my experience. (Climate is a huge factor, so you may only get 3 years in certain environments).
Interstate makes a great battery in my opinion.

Jump starting a dead vehicle isn’t difficult when you have the right tools and know-how from the pros at Les Schwab.
Remove the key from the ignition in the vehicle with the dead battery. Then, take out your jumper cables. Be sure to keep all the ends apart.
On the vehicle with the dead battery, hook up the positive (red) clamp to the positive (+) post on the battery. Then hook up the positive cable to the positive post on the working battery. Now, attach the negative (black) cable to a grounded piece of metal on the dead car. And finally, hook up the negative cable to the negative post on the functioning battery.
Turn on the car with the good battery and allow it to idle for several minutes. Then start the car with the dead battery. Don’t turn off the vehicle. Remove the cables in the opposite order, and then head to your local Les Schwab for a free battery check.

How to safely jump start a vehicle with a dead battery, and the correct way to hook up jumper cables.
Having to jump start a dead battery in a vehicle is something no one really likes to have to experience. It's something that happens so infrequently, that when you're faced with having to do it, you may not remember the best way to go about hooking everything up. It's important to know how to jump start a car, or any vehicle for that matter, and I'll show you how to do that in this video in a very safe way. It may seem like a simple thing to do to many of you, but there are some wrong ways to do it that could cause damage to the vehicles involved, and possibly injury to yourself. I also discuss types of jumper cables, and even portable jump starters and power banks that can be great to have when there's no other vehicle around to help you jump start your car.
