The UN calls for international cooperation to restore life in Gaza | DW News
The conflict in Gaza has led to unimaginable devastation. After the ceasefire deal, residents face the daunting task of returning to heavily damaged or destroyed buildings, and shattered infrastructure. According to the United Nations, around 67 percent of Gaza’s infrastructure has been either damaged or destroyed, setting development back more than 60 years. Deutsche Welle’s Editor-in-Chief Manuela Kasper-Claridge speaks to Achhim Steiner, the administrator of the United Nations Development Program, about the enormous challenge of rebuilding Gaza.
