Longest-serving Palestinian prisoner, Mohammed Al Tous, released after nearly four decades
One of the Palestinian prisoners who was released is Mohammed Al Tous. He's the longest-serving Palestinian prisoner held in an Israeli jail. He was behind bars for nearly four decades. Al Tous comes from the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem. He was a member of Fatah, the movement founded by the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. Al Tous was arrested in 1985 after being accused of carrying out attacks against Israeli targets. He's been held in detention since then.
Thaer Al Tous, the son of Mohammed Al Tous, joins Al Jazeera’s live from Bethlehem.
