First Israeli hostages released by Hamas as part of Gaza ceasefire
The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) and Israeli Security Agency (ISA) issued a statement, confirming the three hostages crossed back into Israeli territory.
The three women being released are Emily Damari, 28, Romi Gonen 24 and Doron Steinbrecher, 31.
"A short while ago, accompanied by IDF and ISA forces, the released hostages crossed the border into Israeli territory," it said.
"The released hostages are currently on their way to an initial reception point in southern Israel, where they will undergo an initial medical assessment."
In a statement, the Israeli prime minister's office said four other living female hostages would be freed in seven days. The process of transferring the three Israeli hostages to the Red Cross in Gaza has begun, local media are reporting
