If you’re new to my channel, my name is Adam Enfroy. I’m the founder of https://AdamEnfroy.com, a blog that I launched in 2019. With two VAs, I grew it to $1M/year business in two years. In 2021, I launched this YouTube channel, now a $4M/year business. So in total, I make $5M/year with dead simple content - I’ve never gone viral, I don’t have millions of followers, and I’m not all that interesting.

At 22, I got kicked out of college after failing 9 classes. At 24, I got back in and finally graduated (with student loans, an alcohol problem, and a degree I didn’t know how to use lol). For the next two and a half years, I worked at a pizza place making $9/hour. It then took me the next 10 years of turning my life around to get here. If I can pull myself out of that mess, I want to give people hope that they can too. It just doesn’t happen overnight.

What are backlinks?
When a webpage receives a hyperlink from another website, it is known as a backlink. Backlinks are also known as inbound links.

Why is backlink an important ranking factor?
When a web page receives more and more backlinks, this helps the search engine understand that your web page's content is valuable, which makes the other websites link to you; thereby gaining their trust. As search engines love unique and valuable content, they consider it to rank high in search results. This makes backlinks an important ranking factor and a symbol of trust as well.

A website can link to your page either by do-follow link or by no-follow links.
Do-follow links are beneficial in terms of SEO. When a website links back to your site by do-follow link, it passes the authority or the link-juice of their website to yours. This helps to improve the authority of your website, thereby positively affecting your ranking.
Coming to no-follow links, these links don't pass the authority or link-juice to your website; therefore are not beneficial in terms of SEO. However, even though it directly does not affect the ranking of your website, still the no-follow links are good for driving user traffic from one website to another.

I spent $2.5k on backlinks this month for the 4th update video of the build in public series for New.to

This time, we’re three and a half months in from the first Google index. We've made some significant strides with our website, including publishing our 'bars' and 'for-couples' pages. We've also finished individual restaurant pages, promising to flood Google with over 7K pages to index.

We dove into the deep end by spending $2.5k on backlinks, intending to give our new site a much-needed authority boost. How has it impacted us so far? We secured 14 backlinks, averaging around $180 per backlink.

The backlink services we used included Authority Builders ($700), FatJoe ($500), RhinoRank ($1k), and freelance link builder, Rik Snijverink from Upwork ($200).

Authority Builders' ABC service offers custom, high-quality links, while FatJoe delivered quality backlinks at affordable prices, providing a great ordering experience.

RhinoRank might be more expensive, but it's worth the cost with their high-quality blogger outreach and niche edits. Lastly, our freelancer, Rik, went above and beyond in the selection and creation of links.

So, what's next? While purchasing backlinks can provide a short-term boost, we’re focusing more on natural link strategies such as using HARO for high authority links and creating link bait for more organic growth. We aim to get some hyper-relevant links and slowly emerge from the sandbox.
