Roger Rogerson dies in hospital aged 83

Australia's most notorious corrupt police officer, Roger Rogerson has died in a Sydney hospital.

The 83-year-old died at 11pm on Sunday night after his life support was switched off around 11:30am on Friday.

He had been rushed to hospital after being found unresponsive in his cell.

Mr Rogerson was also suffered from a brain aneurysm on Thursday.

The corrupt detective had been serving a life sentence for the murder of a 20-year-old drug dealer in 2014.
